Homeopathy
Classical homeopathy involves the dissolving of herbs or allergens into water to extremely minute concentrations. This dilution may proceed to the point where the water no longer contains any physical remnants of the herb. The assumption in this modality is that some essential quality of the herb remains within the water. In the past, studies of this modality have resulted in equivocal results to placebo, others have shown positive results. More recent studies have shown homeopathic solutions to be more effective than placebo. Explaining these results has thus far proven very difficult under the paradigm of Conventional Western Medicine. However, no studies have yet been done to determine the effectiveness of homeopathic remedies over conventional medications such as antihistamines.
