In researching this project there were no recent, quality studies done on colon hydrotherapy and several studies cited both for and against the practice were done in the early 1900s. While the overall risk of the procedure appears relatively low it does have known side effects which should be considered before starting the treatment. There is also no scientific evidence showing a benefit of the procedure. In the end, the decision should be a personal one after careful research and a discussion with a physician. |
