WHERE DOES COLOSTRUM COME FROM?

Most female mammals are capable of secreting colostrum, and  several species are used as a source of colostrum. Bovine (cow) colostrum is the most common commercially available form. Colostrum is available as tablets, powder, and in liquid. The method used to process and package colostrum varies considerably. The timing of harvesting the colostrum also varies, which has significance on the levels of hormones, growth factors, and antibodies.
