Tea has been widely consumed in Asian cultures for more than 4000 years.  Many Asian cultures have long considered tea as an aid for good health.  Tea's popularity continues to date, as it is now the world's second-most frequently consumed liquid, behind water.  Researchers have been investigating tea's possible uses in the prevention and treatment of a variety of diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular disease.

The purpose of this website is to review the historical uses of tea and the recent research regarding the use of green tea as alternative therapy in disease.
