Some adverse effects of herbs used specifically for anti-HIV therapy that have been reported in studies and also anecdotally:
  • warm feelings in stomach
  • polymyalgias
  • polyarthralgias
  • constipation
  • diarrhea
  • anorexia
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • drowsiness
  • hyperthermia
  • abdominal discomfort
  • bloating
  • chest pain
  • hepatitis
  • fatigue
  • anemia.
