Although the actual technique seems to be safe, the KST is troubling in that it claims to be capable of healing nearly everything.  If a patient who has a serious medical condition is told they are being treated by KST, they are not receiving the treatment they need.    

Dr Koren has come under some scrutiny recently from members of the World Federation of Chiropractic.  On the 13th of March in 2007, Koren was issued a letter by the WFC stating that his upcoming seminar in Germany did not follow WFC guidelines.  The reason being that, according to the WFC, the school in Germany at which Koren was to give his seminar included "laypractitioners."  That is, the school's training is not seen as reputable as the training received at American institutions.
