Welcome to Creighton University's Complementary and
Alternative Medicine tutorial on Acupuncture!
Purpose
This site is to serve as a reference to
fellow students, physicians, and the general public on the topic.
Scope
The scope of this site is to explore the
use of acupuncture in the treatment of chronic pain. Within the site, we
will explore the theory, history, and general practice of acupuncture as a
component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The use of acupuncture in the
treatment of chronic pain will be addressed: proposed mechanisms of action
and research will be discussed.
