 ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

As previously mentioned, breast thermography does not use radiation and does not compress the breast.  The procedure is completely non-invasive.  Initially, patients are asked to fill out a thorough breast health history form.  The procedure itself begins with a 15-minute temperature acclimation period.  During this time, the patient will be disrobed from the waist up while in a special temperature controlled laboratory.  Once acclimated to the temperature of the room, the patient is placed in front of the scanning camera while multiple images are taken from different angles.  The images are then analyzed for any signs of abnormalities.
