Patients pay a flat fee to see a physician on a first-come, first-served basis .  Patients carry their own records and place them in a queue when they arrive at the clinic.
Clinics are located along the length of the entire corridor as indicated by blue plaques in front of each office.  Patients arrive in this corridor as early as 2-3 hours prior to the start of clinic.
Two patients sitting to left and right of Dr. Pang.  He is writing out a prescription consisting of a combination of 16-20 herbs as the patient describes his symptoms.  Patients who are waiting to see the doctor often stand in the office around this desk, observing the visit of preceding patients.
The entire first floor of the hospital houses the pharmacy as shown here.  The patients bring their prescriptions here and the herbs are mixed and batched.  the herbal preparations are prepared by the patient as a tea that is consumed according to the instructions of the physician.
