We observed many forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine being practiced on the
streets of China. Most of the practitioners did not appear to have had
formal training in medicine but practice it as a folk art.

Private clinic operation which has extended their facilities
into the street. There are numerous such operations in
Southern China. Most are located in market areas. We were told
that many of these practitioners are not licensed.

women. These practioners typically practice medicine as passed down
from generation to generation. They do not tend to use any form of
western diagnostic techniques as might be used by the above clinics.
