IMPROTANT POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- Despite several well-designed studies, the mainstream medical community has been unable to
prove that the copper from copper bracelets provides any beneficial treatment
for arthritis, or improvement in golf and tennis swings.
- Because of the lack of scientific evidence, doctors cannot
declare it as "effective".
- It is important to note, however, that they have neither proven nor disproved
it's claims.
- Because Alternative medicine community does not require such studies, only
the feel of the user, and since it has never been shown to be harmful to
wear (unless one sufferers from Wilson's disease), it continues to be an accepted
form of treatment.
- The companies who sell copper bracelets are not required by law to include
any copper in them (so you may purchase an anodized aluminum bracelet).
- Be weary when copper bracelet manufacturers suggest that you replace
the bracelet every two years (if is pure and not thinned after two
years of use, why replace it? Companies want to make $$$!)
- Consider increasing your dietary intake of copper
- If you do suffer from a form of arthritis and you would like to try to use
the bracelet, be sure and tell your doctor, and never stop the normal
treatment your doctor has given you.
- If you feel uncomfortable talking to your doctor about alternative
therapies, it may be time to find a new doctor!
