What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a rheumatic condition of widespread pain in fibrous tissues, muscles, tendons, and other connective tissues. In addition to widespread pain, many people also experience fatigue, sleep disturbances, and anxiety or depression.  The etiology of fibromyalgia is unknown which makes accurate diagnosis elusive and effective treatment difficult.
