Conclusion:

Massage therapy is a safe, inexpensive treatment modality for healthy, preterm newborns.  When used in conjunction with traditional medicine, it may offer benefits to growth and development for newborns, and lead to shorter hospital stays in the transitional care nursery.

It is not only preterm infants who may benefit form massage -  full-term infants may benefit too!

Enjoy massaging your baby!
