Purpose:
The
primary purpose of this website is to focus on chiropractic therapy as a
complementary/alternative treatment and its application to chronic pelvic pain, or CPP.
Also, this site will give a brief overview of the chiropractic profession and
additionally focus on recent studies that evaluate its role in cases of chronic pelvic
pain. Several case studies suggest a possible benefit from chiropractic with respect to the
alleviation of symptoms.
Objectives:
- What is chiropractic? Trace its history in practice.
- What is chronic pelvic pain, or CPP?
- What are the conventional treatments for chronic pelvic pain?
- What claims do chiropractic therapy make regarding treatment for chronic pelvic pain
as well as dysmenorrhea, or painful menstrual cramps?
- What can be concluded from scientific evidence that exists in support of chiropractic
and its application to chronic pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea?
