Used Today: Squaw Vine has been used as a diuretic and for its uterotonic effects. It is used to treat a variety of gynecologic disorders. What you should know: Squaw vine is a teratogen and is associated with hepatotoxicity in the developing fetus. Further, secondary to its uterotonic effects, Squaw Vine may result in SAB or preterm labor with prematurity. Its use during pregnancy is not recommended. |
