Used Today: Tumeric has been reportedly used in the prevention of various GI cancers. It is also used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease secondary to its reported anti-inflammatory properties. What you should know: Tumeric may be associated with increased incidence of early SAB. Further studies are needed to document the association. Due to the potential risk for SAB, its use during pregnancy is not recommended. |
