Chlorophyll                                                    Hemoglobin

Similarities of Chlorophyll and Hemoglobin:

  • The green color of wheatgrass is produced by chlorophyll. Its molecular structure is similar to the molecular structure of the hemoglobin of human blood which is responsible for transporting oxygen in the vascular system.
  • Chlorophyll is chemically of nearly the same components as hemoglobin.
  • Hemoglobin: carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen all organized around a single iron atom.
  • Chlorophyll: carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen all organized around a single magnesium.
